C2 Game Studio Introduces Astor and the World of Gilese
Until then, there's a bit to know about Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients. Players take on the role of the courageous Astor, a Diokek who embarks on an epic adventure to unearth secrets from the past of Gilese. The world is under serious threat, and it's up to him to become the savior that everyone needs. With the power of the Runic Swarm, Astor will do more than just commit to defeating evil forces from a forgotten past. He'll also discover who he truly is amid all of the chaos that occurs in Gilese.
The Official Announce trailer for Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients sets the stage for the world that we are about to explore. The titular monolith is on display, coupled with evil foes that aim to take advantage of the powerful structure. Due to a mass extinction, a hero is called to save the day. The footage is complete with extravagant music and action sequences that perfectly showcase Astor's world of Gilese. It's filled to the brim with majestic landscapes, shady temples, and battle-ridden areas. Be sure to check it out.
C2 Game Studio and Versus Evil are looking to launch Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients somewhere in the early 2024 release window. As of now, it's being planned to release on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. The Steam demo is available now.
Monolith Demo Impressions
After giving Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients a committed playthrough for about an hour, we can say that it's something truly epic to experience. The action pieces are intense and the environments are vibrant and mystical to look at, but it's still not enough for us within such a short period of time. As you learn some abilities with Astor, you eventually become more skillful with your weapon, performing jump attacks and continuous slashes that rack up a high combo number. It's a whole load of fun to unravel.
The music is awesome, the action is riveting, and the storytelling reminds us of listening to classic fables from our childhoods. Astor is an interesting character with a lot on his plate, so we're curious to see where C2 Game Studio and Versus Evil eventually come up with as the game's development works toward its 2024 release window.
